Description:
Step into the shoes of Altair, an assassin living in the year 1199 A.D. fighting to make peace in the holy lands where the third crusade has a constant powerstruggle going. You have to use all your skills and wisdom to be able to calm the struggling factions. Experience the area around Jerusalem both high and low as you walk the streets or climb the highest buildings of the areas you can visit. The game can easily be described as a mix of Grand Theft Auto and Prince of Persia.
The main challenge of the game is to assassinate 9 named individuals and your job is to collect information about where they are, and find their day to day patterns. You have many ways of doing this, usually by doing several smaller missions that will gain you information about your targets.

Slick gameplay

The gameplay can be repetative. You can complete the game by doing exactly the same thing over and over, basically ignoring the increasing number of enemies. The storyline is quite contrived. The main character has all of his skills stripped from him by some unknown power. The main villain is blatantly obvious.
Ok, now the good.
Sprawling, vibrant cities to explore, where you're able to go anywhere you like. A freerunning system that makes you feel *cool* even if you've only just picked up the game. Stealth kills that make you grin from ear to ear when you see them, as well as a choice of four different weapons to use against whoever it is you want to kill. A storyline that is fairly open-ended, leading nicely into the (promised) next 2 sequels. The game is fun to play, fun to explore, and if you're looking for a way to kill half an hour (pun intended), it's definitely well worth looking at.
