Description:
The second season of the highly popular show Dexter continues on Showtime, and this season Dexter has a lot to worry about. Treasure hunter divers come across all of his dumped bodies, and the police calls in special agent Lundy to catch "The Bay Harbour Butcher" as the media dubs the killer. Seargent Doakes keeps tailing Dexter to find out what his "dark secret" is which keeps Dexter from satisfying his urges, and to top it off, Rita confronts him about her ex-husbands death.
Without revelaling too much, Dexter ends up going to Narcotics Anonymous where he meets a woman that will seriously upset his life as if things weren't bad enough. Dexter keeps going with an excellent mix of drama and humour making it one of the most popular shows around as of now.

This season feels a lot more claustrophobic than season 1 did as everything seems to be falling apart for Dexter and the noose seems to be tightening around his neck. I find it interesting how they manage to combine such good humour in all the darkness that surrounds Dexter. There's comic relief all the time, while the topics on display are dark, gritty and often bloody. The show manages to stick out from all the other tv shows around and I only hope they mange to keep going with a strong story for a few more seasons.
