Fun as Hell: No Story What-so-ever 5 out of 6 stars [ ? ]

Throat-Slashing Fun without the worry of a Plot

I played Dark Messiah from start to finish as both a master thief, and wizard, and let me say both times it was extremely fun. With that said, the plot is full of holes, makes little to no sense, and even though there are multiple endings, none of them is really impressive. However, with THAT said, it is endless amounts of fun with the physics system and FPS engine that manages swordplay surprisingly well. If you like Dungeons and Dragons, MUDs, or anytype Medievial Magic World, you can't say Dark Messiah is Robert Jordan worthy perhaps..but it will make you laugh with delight as you slice the rope and watch 4 big, dumb, orcs get whacked by a swinging log. Or stealthly sneaking behind a goblin, quietly slicing his throat mid-squeal, and tossing his body off a ledge. It's odd how much realistic physics add to a game of this type, but it does, and it's fun as hell, just don't look too hard at the story.
