Description:

This version of UT was recently released (2007).

It's built on the same basics as the original UT2003 and looks alot like it.

The game is about a fighting event held in the future. The player is placed with other players and/or bots in a level where they compete using futuristic guns. This game involves alot of running, jumping and shooting, there is no real camping.

There are a few game modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Vehicle Capture the flag

New in this release:

- new graphics engine adding just that extra bit of spice

- kickass vehicles you can ride/fly in the vehicle capture the flag mode

- some newly added guns, although you'll recognize alot of guns from the previous version (unreal tournament 2003)

First off, I love the UT Series as it is probably one of the most intense shooters I've played both against computers and players. I've played through the campaigns on all of them and this one has to be the best as it incorporates the best of the series. Here are somethings I liked about UT3.
- Awesome ultimate items.
- Redeemer as usual
- An item that creates a slow motion gel box when setup. Loads of fun.
- Satellite weapon that's also fun to use.

- New Vehicles
- Necris vehicles are tentacle influenced and fun to both hijack and use that give a good mix to vehicle types.
- The Leviathan is an amazing Axon high hp vehicle that pumps out some heavy damage if you get your team organized.
- The Dark Walker is the Necris version of the Leviathan and is quite, if not nearly exactly like the War of the Worlds 3 legged walker.

The new game modes of vehicle CTF and warfare are fun to play. There are several different versions of some maps that have two Axon sides or a Necris invasion side and Axon Side. Amazing eye candy.

Lastly, the new maps add a lot to the game with one of my favorite maps being a conglomerate of a couple maps with warp gates to the different areas. If I recall correctly there's 3 different areas. Space, swamp, and ice. Intense and loads of fun.

All in all, this is an awesome game. It's got eye candy, vehicles, lots of guns, and amazing AI. If you enjoy intense shooters with lots of custom options this is your game.
