Star Wars D6 Roleplaying Game: This role playing system is quite old, but still has the best reputation amongst the fans. It was first published by West End Games in 1987, but the latest edition of it (2nd editon Revised) was published in 1996. Due to the class-less system the character creation rules are very flexible, allowing great variability for the players to create their character. The system only requires six sided dices, pen and paper, no special roleplayer dices like d12, d8 and such. It's was planned to be newbie friendly and easy to learn. On of its most uniqe part is bonus dice rule, it can have a serious effect on the outcome of the situations. Because it's based on the Star Wars Universe, no extensive background information is required to play this game.

Star Wars D6 was the second RPG i ever played, in my option its a very good game to start roleplaying. You don't need too much background information it's completely enough f you've seen the films or read some book. All you need is imagination and to take it easy. The goal of roleplaying is to enjoy it, i think Star Wars Universe can be really enjoyed. The constant war of good and evil determines this game, you can play both sides. While roleplaying you can try yourself as a romantic smuggler, a rookie pilot, an aggressive wookiee and such. However it can be difficult to acquire this game, as it's printing has been discontinued.
