Guitar Hero 2 is inarguably an immensely fun game for those who enjoy music, especially music of the classic rock era. The difficulty levels allow for someone to casually play along with songs or just begin their rise to Guitar Hero Connoisseurdom, in which case you would be playing the fabled Expert difficulty. It's an extremely good time for some social interaction with friends as well, get two guitars and play the versus or pass the guitar around, I've never witnessed anyone not enjoy it.
As far as why I didn't give this game a 6/6, all of the songs are covers, and a few of the covers (not all, certainly) sound terrible compared to the original pieces. Also, the Expert difficulty...as a guitar player myself, I'd rather go learn the songs on an actual guitar than practice enough to be able to beat some of them on Expert. Some of the songs are actually easier on a real guitar than they are on the game on Expert. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy the game on Medium and Hard though. I find Hard to be my happy place.
Enjoy.
