This movie lives up to the standards set up by the creators of 'Shaun of the Dead' and does an excellent job spoofing nearly every Cop vs Everyone movie (I'm talking to you Bad Boyz I & II) that has ever been traipsed out onto the big screen. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost play Sgt. Nicholas Angel and PC Danny Butterman, two officers looking for trouble in the apparently trouble free village (yes village) of Sandford, England. But just as things are begining to look hum-drum and dull for the urban raised Sgt. Angel, a series of "accidents" begins to raise his suspicions that all his not right with this sleepy town. Suddenly boredom turns to mayhem in the you'd-better-not-get-up-to-pee finale where almost every cop/action stereotype is dragged out and beat to death with the comic precision you'd find in the minds of a couple of stoned couch potatoes. Probably one of the best films produced in either the comic or action genre in 2007, Hot Fuzz is definitely a must see for anyone seeking a good laugh as well as a good storyline.

Nicolas Angel is Londons best cop, so good in fact that he makes everyone else look bad, and that's why they transfer him to calm small town. This is a crazy comedy where the level of energy blows the roof off - It's so stupid that I know a lot of fans of this genre will bend over backwards.
Personally it took me quite some time before I could understand any of it, and enjoy the parody unfold.
This movie got potential, but more for "diehard" fans of this genre.
