This movie is a brilliant rendition of a classic zombie movie, instantly satisfying all you could ever want in a zombie film - gore, survival, travel, black humour, the lot. Being the inspiration of many many films afterwards and gaining a massive cult following, this movie is the perfect example of a zombie film. Set in a mall which allows for near limitless possibilities, allowing the character to satisfy their material desires. As the utopia of the mall turns slowly into a nightmare prison, they begin to see how the things of the flesh become insipid, and how the sanctuary they originally had sought became the faceless jailer that keeps them in as well. Truly a master crafted movie, a must see, instant and persevering classic. Film perfection!
