Blood Diamond

Description:

Blood Diamond is about the hunt of a rare and very valuable diamond in the war struggeling country of Sierra Leone.
A fisherman and his family get ambushed by rebels and the family get shatered. The fisherman is forced to work in a diamond mine, where he discovers the valuable rock.
He hides the diamond, but the whole mining camp get attacked by the national army.
The fisherman gets trown in jail, and there he meets Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), a white mercenary smuggler.
Together they set out to find the diamond and the fishermans family.
With the help of an idealistic American journalist they find the wife and daughters of Salomon in a refugee camp, but his son is missing.
The son has been caprured by the rebels and turned into a child solidier.

Leonardo DiCaprio once again proves that he is a very strong actor (As long as he stay away from the romantic drama)
Blood Diamond is a movie packed with human suffering in the war struggeling country of Sierra Leone.
Diamond smuggling, slavery, greed, cruelty, death and war all comes together in this action bomb of a movie that point a finger at the western communities greed for African resources.
This movie is must see, and will certainly make an impact.
