Jack is back
Very few sequels are ever as good as the original; this is especially true with Disney films whose sequels generally seem to be just a way to make more money. However Pirates of the Caribbean 2- Dead Mans Chest certainly is not one of those.
While the film maybe too long, or too detailed for some, I found the plot to be both well planned and executed while maintaining the feel and originality of the original and Depp’s portrayal of Jack Sparrow once again is one of the films highlights.
Probably the films biggest fault is the cliff-hanger ending which leaves the viewer gagging for the next instalment (which will hopefully be out this year), but even this didn’t spoil the film for me too much.
My only other real criticism of the film is the weakness and lack of deveoplemt in the characters of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Eilizabeth Swann (Keira Knightly) who seemed to have turned into secondary characters in the film makers eyes.
Overall though I really enjoyed this film and eagerly await the third instalment.

Cptain Jack is back and in full force in this action packed adventure, with more sword fights and thrilling effects.
Jack... Captain jack is better than ever and he's a laugh all the way to the end.
Davy Jones, the new enemy, is after Jack for the repayment for rasing the Black pearl from the depths. To go with that you have the Kraken, Davy's sea pet, nemesis squid thingy to drag the pearl and it's Captain along with it.
Story line - 8.5/10
Effects - 10/10
Sound/Soundtrack - 9.5/10
Humor - 9/10

i watched this movie in theatre and i liked it very much. it is a bit similar to part 1 with johnny depp putting down some excellent acting again. if you like his style of humor this is a movie you definitely dont want to miss. only bad part about it is the open end.

Jack is back. The film number one was a great film and you will enjoy it more than once. Bt the second film was after my thoughts better. More pirate like. See them sailing on open water and the battles. My breath was gone for many minutes after the film ended. I think this sequel was better than the film number one and I have great expectasions to the last film. Hopefully many questions will have an answer.

Hands down to Depp's perfomance in this follow up that despite a few flaws is very entertaining.
This is a comedy and must be viewed as such, but it's also worth noticing the steaming attraction between Keira Knightly and Johnny Depp. Forbidden love.
