Description:


It's a dark time for the rebels. After the Empire's assault on Hoth, the Rebellion is now scattered and struggling in the fight against the Emperor Palpatine. Luke Skywalker seeks out Yoda, a powerful Jedi Master hidden on a swamp planet called Dagobah. Han Solo and Princess Leia seek refuge on Bespin, a city in the sky, run by Lando Calrissian who is an old associate of Han Solo.

The best Star Wars film of all time 6 out of 6 stars [ ? ]

By far the best part of the trilogy, "Empire" is a classic that even Luca’s meddling in 1997 couldn’t improve upon..

He made precious few changes to episode V. There just wasn't room. He added a few extra shots of the ice monster; but even with those changes in place the Special Edition is virtually identical to the original edition.

Since Lucas was so keen on making changes wherever he could this is obviously a tribute to the tightness of the story and the direction. It's also a tribute to the perfection of the original special effects, more innovative than the effects in the first Star Wars movie and better than the effects in any subsequent one.

Once again I echo my comment from A New Hope. I recommend any fan of science fiction, action, adventure or anyone who's just looking for a great film, to watch this. It's a masterpiece.

Episode 5 starts on the icey planes and mountains of Hoth where luke is almost killed by a wampa. You can immediately see the special effects are much better now. after the imperials find out about the rebel base, they are forced to fight the empire and luke leaves the planet to seek out master yoda and yoda trains him to be a jedi. meanwhile solo is getting into trouble and luke comes to rescue them. he gets into a fun saber fight with darth vader and it almost kills him but they manage to escape the empire
