Star Wars MUD (SWmud)
Star Wars MUD has been up and running since around 1994 and contains around 40 planets and space stations with around 150-200 rooms each. The players can choose from 22 races, join 3 different teams (Imperials, neutrals and Rebels) and choose from 10 different guilds, each with a ton of skills. The mud is very much a hack and slash mud, with very little role playing going on. The player killing system is very challenging and gives the players something else to do in between killing monsters.
