Categories
- Board Games (2)
- Board games are non-computer games often called table-top games. They often have game boards and dice and/or game pieces of different sorts. Classic games like chess and chinese checkers are perfect examples of typical board games.
- Computer Games (71)
- Computer games are games made specifically for personal computers (PCs) and the Apple Macintosh. Games made for consoles have their own category labeled Video Games.
- Role Playing (1)
- A role playing game is a game where the participants assume the role of a character and play a story as this character. The players usually have various statistical numbers and characteristics that are used when playing the character and this affects the outcome of actions and choices. The games have rules and guidelines for the players, but improvisation is often used. Dungeons & Dragons is the first commercially available role playing game and is a good example of a product that fits this category.
- Video Games (127)
- Video Games are often called console games, as they are developed for consoles like the Playstation, X-box and Nintendo systems. Computer games have their own category.
