A small town called Barrow in northern Alaska is cursed with 30 days of darkness every year, and while some citizens leave south for this month, some stay. The sheriff and his wife have to find a way to survive the 30 days, as more and more people start to disappear.
Dawn of the Dead (1978)

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) Review
