Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, "300" concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy.
Saving Private Ryan
Normandie. D-Day. One of the most famous battles in history as the Allied forces assault the german forces at Normandie. We follow a squad of soldiers lead by Captain John Miller, played by Tom Hanks, as they fight their way behind enemy lines to rescue a Private James Ryan, who has lost all his three brothers in war. Eight people are sent out to rescue one man, in an effort to boose war morale in America.
