A skilled spy gets burned by the US Government when working on a mission in Nigeria.  After fleeing from his aggressors the former spy (Michael Westen) ends up in his home town Miami. He know uses his special operation training to help people and to find out why he got discredited by the government. Together with Sam Axe  (former Navy Seal) and Fiona Glenanne (former IRA operative and Westen's ex-girlfriend) they try to put the criminals in Miami out of work.
